Master Simon Wong has taught Tai Chi for 35 years and wants to make it accessible to everyone, as a charitable gesture. From his long experience, he knows how good Tai Chi is and understands its benefits to society. Yellow Dragon Tai Chi invites you to join our free class, every Saturday at 2pm. See the event page for full details. Tai Chi is a great way to improve your strength, flexibility, balance, circulation and concentration. It is also a powerful and effective form of self-defence. Everyone is welcome regardless of age, experience or physical ability.
Created by Master Simon Wong , it strikes a perfect balance between devastating combat skills, health and the highest levels of spiritual cultivation, and emphasises the importance of how we live our daily lives. Nowadays, most people have forgotten about the real meaning of kung fu and turned it into something very different. You could draw a comparison with doctors and nurses who enter their profession purely for the money, not caring whether their patients survive, or politicians who get power just for themselves.
The Dragon Gates are the so-called "7 Dragons" that live within everyone and govern the powers of wood, fire, metal, water, and air. Though all seven gates exist within the human body, a human body possesses only enough potential to activate one predetermined gate, independent of that person's influence. When enough Ki is consumed, a gate is opened for the first time and its power manifests. This can be achieved through the study of martial arts, meditation, through intense thoughts or emotions. These dragon gates are activated within people who acquire techniques through Martial arts.
